Mburo Eagle’s Nest is a basic safari camp on the edge of Lake Mburo National Park that provides reasonably priced accommodation with stunning views of the park’s expansive grasslands. Reviews on the internet state that there are amazing views from every angle of the nest. Each tent has a balcony with sitting arrangements, making it an ideal spot to spend time with loved ones.

Mburo Eagle’s Nest

Eagle’s Nest has both simple tents with shared facilities and canvas tents with roomy ensuite bathrooms. Under a thatched room, each tent is permanently erected and features an outside living area to take in the breathtaking views of the park. All meals are served by the chef in the main building, which is situated in the middle of the camp. Here, patrons congregate to engage in small talk while sipping drinks from the bar. The chef uses potjiekos, an ancient African cooking method, to produce meals. With certain modifications from Europe and India, the food is continental.

Ten African safari tents with outdoor seating that overlook the Lake Mburo National Park’s savannah plains make up Mburo Eagle’s Nest lodging. Surprisingly, most park game animals may be seen strolling over the plains from the outside of any hotel. Refillable showers are provided in the en suite bathrooms of the tents.

Additionally, Mburo Eagle’s Nest provides shared restrooms with non-self-contained tents. They have charging power outlets and a bedside table, making them cosy for up to two people. An ablution block with showers and flushing toilets is shared by the tents.

The main lodge building serves supper, dinner and breakfast. There is always something for everyone, including buffet-style dinners and fixed continental, Italian, and Indian cuisines. The chef will make an early breakfast and provide you with a packed lunch for your trip if you are departing the lodge early.

The Sanga gate access road connects Eagle’s Nest to the main Mbarara-Masaka highway, for guests to use. The Sanga gate Northern Park entrance road leads from western Uganda to the south and ends 37 km east of Mbarara. This is where you enter if you’re travelling from Kampala in the east or from witnessing mountain gorillas in Bwindi.

The distance on a dirt road is approximately 1.5 km to Rwakobo Rock Lodge and 8 km to the Nshara gate. It takes roughly four to five hours to drive from Kampala to Lake Mburo. During the rainy seasons, a 4×4 vehicle could be necessary for the rugged, unpaved access route leading from the highway. The distance from the highway to Eagle’s Nest Camp may take approximately one hour to go.
