Kyaninga Lodge is situated overlooking the breathtaking Lake Kyaninga and the Rwenzori mountains in the distance. Log cabins are more environmentally friendly than conventional dwellings since they require eight times fewer trees to build and emit fewer greenhouse gases. Green building techniques and replanting are areas that Kyaninga Lodge has invested in. Your carbon footprint is reduced when you stay at Kyaninga.
The height of elegance, romance, and luxury in the heart of Africa is found at Kyaninga Lodge. The nine cottages at the lodge are situated on platforms that are spaced apart to provide seclusion and calm. With a choice of twin or double beds dressed with Egyptian cotton linens and plush feather pillows, each roomy cottage is exquisitely furnished. The beautiful bathrooms in the cottages have a marble countertop sink, a claw-footed freestanding bath, and a glass-walled shower. They also feature a private balcony with elegantly rustic furniture. Once inside, the lodge features cosy seating areas surrounding a striking double-sided open fireplace, as well as two raised galleries with private sections for those looking to take in the dramatic scenery in a more sedate atmosphere.
The restaurant is housed in the main structure, which also has two raised galleries for those who would like a more quiet place to take in the view. Lunch and breakfast are served al fresco on one of our terrace tables or within the restaurant. An impressive double-sided open fireplace in the bar area is lit every evening around sunset.
Beneath the main lodge, there are two decks complete with cosy loungers. The swimming pool and two grassy terraces with views of Lake Kyaninga’s deep blue lake and ancient forest are accessible by steps carved out of the volcanic rock found in the area.
The lodge features nine luxurious hand-carved log cottages that are exquisite in every way. Each cottage offers visitors a warm and inviting haven that blends in perfectly with the surrounding natural surroundings. You may enjoy the beauty and romance of this undiscovered country as soon as you leave your cabin.
