During our 8 Days Best of Uganda Wildlife Tour, you will visit the largest park in Uganda, Murchison Falls National Park, which is 3,840 square kilometres in size and was designated as a wildlife reserve in 1926. It is located in Northwestern Uganda. It is divided into two parts (the northern and southern bank) by the Victoria Nile, which runs through the Savannah grasslands. A fantastic experience with one of the 19 habituated mountain gorilla populations is provided by gorilla trekking safari. Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park
After an early breakfast, our driving guide will come to pick you up from your residence or hotel. He will give you an overview of your 8 Days Best of Uganda Wildlife to Murchison Falls and then you will begin your 6-hour drive to the National Park. After passing through Luwero, you will make a halt at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track rhinoceros, where you can see both black and white rhinos. Drive to the lodge, unwind all evening, have dinner, and spend the night there after making another stop in Masindi for lunch. After lunch, continue to the park, where you’ll view a variety of species, including baboons and warthogs.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise along the Nile.
Get up early, have a cup of tea at 6:30 am, and at 7:00 am, the ranger guide will come get you to begin your game drive from the lodge. You will have the opportunity to see a wide variety of wildlife during the drive, including birds, lions, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, antelopes, and water bucks. Drive back to the lodge for breakfast in the morning, rest, freshen up, and have lunch while getting ready for the afternoon boat cruise after the game drive, which ends at approximately 11:40 a.m.
Along the banks of the Nile, you may spot a variety of Nile crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, and elephants from the boat. You can also spot many stunning birds like the shoe-billed stork, the coloured kingfisher, and bee eaters. The boat will take you to the base of the falls, where you will disembark and begin your one-hour walk to the top of the Murchison waterfalls. Along the way, you will see breathtaking views of the surrounding greenery and the falls itself. At the summit, you will run into your driving guide, who will subsequently transport you back to the resort.

Day 3: Return to Kampala.
After having breakfast, head out for another game drive early in the morning as you make your way back to Kampala. It will be exciting to search for a variety of animal species, though the majority can be observed feeding in the grasslands. These include lions, antelopes, buffalo, elephants, giraffes, and many bird species. After leaving the park, make a lunch stop in Masindi and go on to Kampala in the evening.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After eating an early breakfast, travel to the southwest of the nation, stopping along the way to take pictures and conduct experiments. Drive to Mbarara and have lunch at the Agip Motel before continuing on to Bwindi National Park, which is home to the mountain gorillas. Roughly 630 mountain gorillas, or half of the remaining population worldwide, are thought to reside in Bwindi National Park. It’s a lengthy yet enjoyable drive. Travel south to Buhoma to see the terraced slopes of the Kigezi Highlands, sometimes referred to as Africa’s Switzerland.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest.
After starting your day with a packed lunch and an early breakfast, your driver guide will take you to the starting site so your guide can give you a briefing. After receiving a guide to help you follow gorillas, you can start your expedition. Depending on how these gentle giants move, the time required and the terrain can vary from one to eight hours. The excitement of finally meeting in person eases the agony of an occasionally difficult and drawn-out journey. Though every encounter is unique and has its own rewards, you can probably expect to see the adults grooming, feeding, and resting up close while the children playfully romp and swing from vines. You have the option of continuing to unwind at the lodge or going on a stroll around the Batwa community in the evening, which will allow you to meet the locals, discover how they live, and see them perform traditional music and dances. Go back to the lodge.

Day 6: Transfer to Ishasha in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Head for the Ishasha sector, the southern portion of Queen Elizabeth National Park, after an early breakfast. This area is one of Uganda’s greatest riches and has been recognised by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve for Humanity. It shares boundaries with Kazinga Channel, Lake George, and Lake Edward in the western portion of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. After driving through the Ishasha area in quest of the lion tree climbing, you will check into the lodge. Take a two-hour launch cruise on the Kazinga channel after lunch. This canal, which links Lakes Edward and George, is teeming with buffalo and elephants along its banks, as well as schools of hippos. While on the grazing grounds, you may come across a number of species, including elephants, lions, spotted hyenas, leopards, Bushbucks, Waterbucks, stripped jackals, and several warthogs. After the launch cruise, there will be a little evening game drive.

Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kyambura – Evening Game Drive.
You will head out with your tracking equipment for chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge, which is still part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, after breakfast early in the morning. While tracking, you will descend a gorge and see views of a chimpanzee population living in a vibrant, lush tropical forest that is below sea level. It is difficult to hike the steep slopes of the gorge in pursuit of the chimpanzees, but if you do, you will be rewarded with a once-in-a-lifetime experience. You will see the olive baboons and the black and white colobus monkeys, as well as the chimps rolling on tree branches and making panting cries. Usually, the hike takes 2.5 hours. Return to the resort for lunch, then go on an evening game drive in search of wildlife. You can see animals in the delta, including warthogs, buffaloes, waterbucks, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and Jackson’s heart creatures.

Day 8: Return to Kampala – Departure.
You leave the park and drive through the wildlife trails for a little while before starting your journey back to Kampala after breakfast in the morning. While travelling, stop at the Igongo Culture Centre and lunch in Mbarara (the historical ground for Ankole culture). Push that aside and travel on to Kampala, where you may rest and get ready for your journey home.
