Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park.

After breakfast, depart Kampala for the exciting trip to Kibale National Park, which is located directly beneath the Rwenzori Mountains, through dense jungle and papyrus wetlands in the Nile Delta. A fantastic cultural tour takes place on a guided walk in the park’s crater lakes area in the afternoon.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest.

Track the chimpanzees in Kibale Forest by starting your day early and reporting to the Kanyanchu Tourist Centre, where the tourist activities begin. It is 90% likely that you will see the chimps, but there is no assurance. After lunch, take a guided tour of Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary and explore the marsh. On this journey, there will be a range of plants and animals that you can see. View a variety of butterflies, birds, and insects. Explore the region around the crater of Ndali Lodge. Any tea plantation along the journey is open for you to stop at if you’d like.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After morning meal, you will proceed on travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park around 3 hours drive. You will have the chance to go through tiny settlements, take in multiple Rwenzori mountain foothills, observe small rivers that spring from the Rwenzori mountain ranges, and cross the equator at Kikorongo. When you arrive at Bush Lodge and unwind, get ready for your late-afternoon game drive in Mweya. Antelopes, buffaloes, warthogs, elephants, and many other wild species, such as lions and leopards, can be seen in this area of Queen Elizabeth National Park. After dinner, guests can spend the night at the lodge.

Day 4: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise along Kazinga Channel

You will return to Kasenyi Plains for a game drive to make up for anything you might have missed on your previous game drive after having a cup of tea in the early morning. You may be fortunate enough to witness the big cats as they hunt, increasing your chances of seeing lions and/or leopards during this early game drive. Other mammals that may be seen include buffalo, hippos, various antelope species, and many others. Head back to the lodge to have lunch. Take a boat trip in Kazinga Channel in the afternoon by driving straight to Mweya Jetty. One of the delights of Queen Elizabeth National Park is this two-hour boat ride. It is possible to see almost 300 of the 600 water bird species that have been identified here, as well as antelopes, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and hippos.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You will go to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, which is situated in the Kabale district of south-western Uganda, after breakfast. Nearly half of the world’s endangered mountain gorillas are found in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is also the only national park where mountain gorillas and wild chimpanzees coexist. You will travel through undulating hills with terraced gardens of Irish potatoes and Kayonza tea estate on your way to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will arrive in the late afternoon to spend the night and have dinner.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking Experience – Guided Village Walk

After breakfast in the morning, you will be taken to the Park headquarters to receive instructions on what to do and what not to do when interacting with the gorillas. Following this, you will be dropped off at the designated gorilla family’s starting point to begin your trek into the dense Bwindi Forest. Depending on the location of the mountain gorillas, this trip could take anything from 30 minutes to three quarters of a day. As a result, gorilla trekking can be demanding, necessitating a certain level of athleticism. The trip will be worthwhile after you locate the gorillas, and you will get an hour to observe and take pictures of them. After that, you’ll drive back to the park headquarters, where your efforts to support the conservation of the critically endangered mountain gorillas will be acknowledged with a certificate. After unwinding at the lodge, take a stroll through the hamlet to discover more about the locals who call Bwindi Impenetrable National Park home.

Day 7: Return to Kampala – Departure.

Your driving guide will make sure you get to the airstrip Kihihi in time for your morning or afternoon flight back to Entebbe/Kampala before we set out on our journey to Kampala.
