Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.
After a hearty breakfast, depart Kampala for the fascinating trip to Kibale National Park, which is located beneath the Rwenzori Mountains, through densely forested areas and papyrus wetlands in the Nile Delta. You will travel to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary in the afternoon, where you will embark on a guided walking tour of the swamp. You will get the chance to witness a variety of plants and animals on this trip. See a range of insects, birds, and butterflies. Take a tour of the area surrounding Ndali Lodge crater. If you’d like, you can also make a stop at any tea plantation along the way.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, proceed to the Kanyanchu Tourist Centre, the starting point for tourist activities, and begin your chimpanzee tracking adventure in the Kibale Forest. While there is a 90% chance of seeing chimpanzees, it is not a guarantee. You may spend up to four hours in the forest looking for them. After that, you would return to the resort for lunch before making the roughly three-hour trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park. It will be possible for you to go through little settlements, view the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains, come across little rivers that emerge from the Rwenzori mountain ranges, and cross the equator at Kikorongo.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise Along Kazinga Channel
After an early-morning cup of tea, you will head back to the Kasenyi Plains for a morning game drive in hopes of seeing some wildlife. If you’re lucky, you might be able to see big cats in the act of hunting, which increases your chances of seeing lions and/or leopards. Other mammals that may be seen include buffalo, hippos, various species of antelope, and many others. Head back to the lodge to have lunch. One of the attractions of Queen Elizabeth National Park is the two-hour boat ride on Kazinga Channel, which takes place in the afternoon. To get there, drive immediately to Mweya Jetty. Viewing antelopes, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and more than 300 of the 600 water bird species that have been documented here is possible. Go back to the lodge to spend the night.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will go to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, which is situated in the Kabale district of south-western Uganda, after breakfast. Nearly half of the world’s endangered mountain gorillas are found in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is also the only national park where mountain gorillas and wild chimpanzees coexist. You will travel through undulating hills with terraced gardens of Irish potatoes and Kayonza tea estate on your way to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will arrive in the late afternoon to spend the night and have dinner.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi.
After breakfast in the morning, you will be taken to the Park headquarters to receive instructions on what to do and what not to do when interacting with the gorillas. Following this, you will be dropped off at the designated gorilla family’s starting point to begin your trek into the dense Bwindi Forest. Depending on the location of the mountain gorillas, this trip could take anything from 30 minutes to three quarters of a day. As a result, gorilla trekking can be demanding, necessitating a certain level of athleticism. The trip will be worthwhile after you locate the gorillas, and you will get an hour to observe and take pictures of them. After that, you’ll drive back to the park headquarters, where your efforts to support the conservation of the critically endangered mountain gorillas will be acknowledged with a certificate.
