Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport
After arriving in Entebbe, Uganda, guests are transferred to the Victoria View Guest House for a rest period. Later in the evening, they take a trip to Mabamba Bay, which is the only location—so far regarded as the best in Africa or the entire world, where they can see the elusive Shoebill at any time of day. And it has developed into one of the major breeding grounds for migrant blue swallows, with over 100 records annually and over 260 species recorded on a single day. After that, the birds drive back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Start your Albertine Rift Bird Watching Safari in Uganda in the morning by meeting and greeting your driver guide for the birding trip. Then, head to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Wildlife Ranch for an evening of tracking rhinos. With 20 Southern White Rhinos, more than 250 bird species, and other wildlife, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Wildlife Ranch is located roughly 176 kilometres from Kampala. It occupies over 70 square kilometres. Tracking these rhinos will take you through their behaviours and the mechanics of their conservation for approximately two hours, guided by sanctuary rangers. Dinner, a campfire, and an overnight stay await you at Sanctuary Lodge.

Day 3: Bird Watching Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Get ready for a four-hour canoeing experience at Lugogo Swamp at 6:00 a.m., where bird watchers have a better chance of seeing the majestic African shoebill, which is one of the most sought-after birds in the world, while taking in the breathtaking African dawn. The sanctuary is home to about 300 different bird species. Some of the more noteworthy ones are the Beautiful Sunbird, Namaqua Dove, Pin-tailed Whydah, Bateleur, White-crested Turaco, Bruce’s Pigeon, and Saddle-billed Stork. Withdraw, eat lunch, and return to Entebbe Airport or Kampala.
