This 3 Days Murchison Falls Uganda Safari will take you to the largest park in Uganda, the 3,840 square kilometre Murchison Falls National Park, which was established as a wildlife reserve in 1926 and is located in Northwestern Uganda. More than 451 bird species, including the Great Blue Turaco, Goliath Heron, Shoebill, and dwarf kingfisher, as well as 76 mammal species, numerous Nile crocodiles, and, most importantly, the stunning and thunderous Murchison Falls that squeeze through an 8-meter-wide gorge can be found in Murchison Falls. All in all, you will get to experience the pleasures of both our boat cruises along the Nile River and our Uganda safari game drives.

Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park

Our driving guide will pick you up from your hotel or place of home after an early breakfast. You will start your six-hour journey to the national park after he gives you an outline of your three-day wildlife safari to Murchison Falls. You will stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to monitor rhinos after travelling via Luwero. Here, you can witness both black and white rhinos.

Make another lunch stop in Masindi after tracking. After that, make your way to the lodge, where you may unwind and spend the night interacting with the numerous animals you will see along the path, such as warthogs and baboons.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise Along the Nile

Get up early on this particular day, have a cup of tea at 6:30 am, and be ready for your game drive at 7:00 am when the ranger guide comes to pick you up from the lodge. You will have the opportunity to see a wide variety of wildlife during the drive, including birds, lions, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, antelopes, and water bucks. Drive back to the lodge for breakfast in the morning, rest, freshen up, and have lunch while getting ready for the afternoon boat cruise after the game drive, which ends at approximately 11:40 a.m.

Along the banks of the Nile, you may spot a variety of Nile crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, and elephants from the boat. You can also spot many stunning birds like the shoe-billed stork, the coloured kingfisher, and bee-eaters. The boat will take you to the base of the falls, where you will disembark and begin your one-hour walk to the top of the Murchison waterfalls. Along the way, you will see breathtaking views of the surrounding greenery and the falls itself. At the summit, you will run into your driving guide, who will subsequently transport you back to the resort. After dinner, spend the night.

Day 3: Return to Kampala – Departure.

After having breakfast, head out for another game drive early in the morning as you make your way back to Kampala. It will be exciting to search for a variety of animal species, though the majority can be observed feeding in the grasslands. These include lions, antelopes, buffalo, elephants, giraffes, and many bird species. After leaving the park, make a lunch stop in Masindi and go on to Kampala in the evening.
