Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast on this day, you will be picked up by our professional safari driver-guide from your hotel or place of residence in Kigali. He will then brief you on the tour and take you on a brief city tour of Kigali. Along the way, you will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a site of learning and remembrance honouring the victims of the Tutsi Genocide in Rwanda. After that, take a trip to Musanze, the home of mountain gorillas, golden monkeys, and hiking trails. En route, you’ll have time to explore and take in the stunning scenery of Rwanda. After checking into your lodge, you may unwind and take advantage of the facilities on site. The evening is yours to enjoy, and you can have dinner and get some rest in front of the next day’s adventure.

Day 2: Mount Bisoke Hiking Experience.
After eating breakfast at your lodge in the early morning, you will proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing while sipping coffee or tea. After joining a group of hikers, you will receive the briefing and set out on an exciting hike to the summit of the Bisoke Volcano, where there is a stunning crater lake. It takes two hours to descend and four hours to rise, depending on how quickly you walk and how often you stop. Enjoy breathtaking vistas of the surrounding volcanic scenery and the far-off shoreline of Lake Kivu as you rise. After ascending to the summit, pause to gather your breath and see the breathtaking view of Bisoke’s Crater Lake, which is nestled inside a caldera. Retrace your steps to the starting point after a well-earned rest and a picnic lunch at the peak. After meeting your driver guide and making the drive back to the lodge, you may enjoy fresh views of the landscape and plenty of chances to see wildlife. The remainder of the evening is yours to spend at leisure.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking – Return to Kigali.
After eating an early breakfast at your lodge, you will head to the park headquarters to meet your guides for the trekking adventure with the Golden Monkeys and take part in a pre-trek briefing where you will learn crucial information on the hike, safety measures, and park policies. After that, you set off on a journey that passes through verdant bamboo forests and scenic settings in pursuit of these gregarious monkeys, who are renowned for their vibrant antics and striking coats. After locating them, which is generally simple, you spend an enthralling hour studying them attentively in their natural environment. Once your experiences are over, you head back to the hotel, have an early lunch, check out, say your goodbyes, and are then driven back to Kigali. Drop off at your property or hotel, or drive to Kigali International Airport for your departure trip home, depending on the specifics of your itinerary.
