Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Transfer to Akagera National Park – Return to Kigali.

Our driver will pick you up at your hotel or another agreed-upon location once you’ve finished your breakfast at 5:00AM. There will be a briefing before you start your tour through Rwanda’s stunning countryside. The arrival time is 9 a.m. After you register, a park guide who is informed about the best places to watch animals will follow you inside the park. This game drive will take you through vast Savannah grasslands, forests, and lakeshores in search of zebras, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, lions, black-tailed mongooses, olive baboons, vervet monkeys, colobus monkeys, and bush babies (evening). You have two options for lunch: bring a picnic or travel to Akagera Game Lodge, where most guests have lunch.

On the afternoon boat tour on Lake Ihema, you can see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of water birds. The largest lake in the park is Lake Ihema, which is located in the southern section. The lake supplies water to many bodies of water inside and outside the park. Lake Ihema covers an area of ninety square kilometres. The eastern beaches of Tanzania and Rwanda define part of their border. Crocodiles, hippopotamuses, and a variety of bird species, including hawks, herons, plovers, sandpipers, and ibis, can be found in Lake Ihema, as was previously noted. The boat ride lasts for about two hours. After the boat excursion, it’s time to start the journey back to Kigali. By the time you arrive in Kigali City, it will be late evening.
