Located in a natural 80-acre wilderness, our lodge is conveniently close to the park gate, making it an ideal starting point for exploration. Elephants congregate at the shore of the lake, offering stunning views of Lake Kikorongo. Discover the renowned Kasenyi Plains for amazing bird and game viewing. And with so much wildlife in the area, there will be lots of chances for amazing safari pictures.

Elephant Plains Lodge is a genuinely unique location, situated on 80 acres of unspoiled nature adjacent to the equator. From anywhere in the resort, you can see the equator monument. Nearby Lake Kikorongo has beautiful plains that blend into its glistening waters. In the nights, big herds of elephants congregate to drink. This explains the clever name of the lodge.

If you stay at Elephant Plains Lodge, you may travel to Kasenyi Plains for excellent game viewing. It’s a short trip. Additionally, Kasenyi Plains is home to Uganda Kob nesting grounds, which draw a sizable number of predators to the area. Elephant Plains Lodge can be reached by guests via a 1-hour flight from Entebbe and a 2-hour drive from Kasese Airport. The lodge is situated in the northeastern region of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Visitors can drive around the park for five hours or take a 15-minute flight from Kihihi Airtrips from Bwindi.

Elephant Plains features six double/twin en-suite grass-thatched cottages that are spacious and comfortable, featuring huge private verandas and full-height glass windows/doors to maximise the breathtaking views. Furthermore, there are two-family cottages that can accommodate up to five people per stay and have two separate en-suite bedrooms.

Each home offers seclusion and peace of mind with its spacious bathtubs and hilltop location. The expansive verandas of each suite provide views of Lake Kikorongo, where visitors may observe buffaloes and elephants congregating around the watering hole at dusk. The main room is a large lounge with cozy couches and little seating sections, ideal for sipping a Ugandan gin and tonic and admiring the stunning scenery while the cool breeze from Lake George blows through. The large restaurant serves an international menu inspired by regional flavours and features an outside dining deck with 270-degree views.

In addition, the lodge has a large, environmentally friendly swimming pool where visitors may cool off at the end of the day and still enjoy the breathtaking views that surround the property.
