Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival – Transfer to Nyungwe Forest.
On arrival in Kigali, you will meet your tour guide who will brief you on the 3 day tour and transfer you to Nyungwe Forest National Park, the home of chimpanzees in Rwanda. Marvel at the green countryside and arrive at the lodge in Nyungwe in time for dinner and staying overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking in Nyungwe.
After an early breakfast, you go off to explore the area’s magnificent splendour. You will search for and get a closer look at the chimpanzees by exploring Nyungwe Forest. The park guides will make your journey educational by giving you all the pertinent facts on the behaviour of the primates, including how they feed, reproduce, and pray with one another. They are skilled and informed about the biodiversity of Nyungwe.
On the hike, you’ll get to see some fantastic birdlife. Two dozen of the over 300 bird species found in Nyungwe Forest are only found in a few highland forests in the Albertine Rift. Among these are the Rwenzori and Great Blue Turacos, the Paradise Flycatcher, the Long-tailed Blue, Orange, and White Bird, and the Forest Hornbills. After lunch, head back to the lodge to unwind before supper and spend the night there.

Day 3: Return to Kigali – Departure.
After breakfast, you will go to Lake Kivu and the Gusakula Tea Estates. Set out for Kigali in preparation for your return flight, stopping for lunch along the way.
