Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
A representative from our company will greet you when you arrive and take you to your reserved lodging for the night, which includes meals. You will take a quick tour of the Rwanda museum dedicated to historic architectural designs, depending on when you arrive. See the genocide and take in the city’s nightlife.
Accommodation: Kigali Serena Hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Kahuzi Biega National Park
You will have breakfast and then get on the road to Kahuzi Biega National Park, home to the lowland gorillas. Pass through the Nyanza province and visit the museum before proceeding to the national park where you will arrive in time for dinner and staying overnight.

Day 3: Lowland Gorilla Trekking Experience
You will transfer to the park headquarters for a morning briefing following breakfast in the morning. Tracking gorillas takes two to four hours. Their distinguishing characteristics set them apart from the highland gorillas. They are reported to have larger families and to be considerably larger than the ones that reside in the forest. After lunch, you can choose to relax or tour Bukavu town or the Tshibati waterfall with your guide when you return. Come back for dinner and spend the night.

Day 4: Transfer to Bukima – Virunga National Park
You will be taken to the town of Bukima after an early breakfast. The surrounding town’s backdrop is breathtaking, offering a wide variety of biodiverse experiences within a large ecosystem. The mountain gorilla species is found in the Virunga National Park. It wanders around the park freely, eating dinner and spending the night there.

Day 5: Mountain Gorilla Trekking Experience
Breakfast in the early morning will be followed by a transfer to the mountain gorilla park centre. Look for the various ape species as you stroll about the park. You will be guided by a knowledgeable guide. The action takes two hours or longer, depending on how far the gorilla families have migrated. Since they are herbivores by nature, gorillas like eating a variety of plants, fruits, and occasionally mushrooms. You are permitted to spend one hour with the mountain gorillas before returning to meet your guide for a leisurely evening at the resort.

Day 6: Nyiragongo Volcano Hiking
You will gather at the park headquarters around 7:00am after an early breakfast. Following the morning briefing, begin the walk. Approximately 6 hours are needed to reach the summit. The last person’s speed determines how long it takes. There is an adventurous trail through the woodland region. You will be able to witness the mountain’s luminous sheen. Stay the night at the Summit.

Day 7: Return to Kigali – Departure.
After descending the volcano, you will meet our guide at the border and be driven to Kigali International Airport in time for your international return flight.
