Day 1: Arrival – Bujumbura

On your arrival at Bujumbura Airport, you will be welcomed by our company representative/tour guide who will brief you on the tour and transfer you to the hotel booked for you in Bujumbura for check-in.

Day 2: Visit Kibira National Park – Transfer to Gitega.

Drive to Kibira National Park to see the Teza tea plantations after breakfast. Visit the Kiganda Royal Grounds afterward. Travel to Gitega by car in the afternoon.

You can visit the Rusizi National Park, where you can take a boat trip to see the hippos and birds in the Rusizi River up close; the Explorers Memorial, a massive rock in the city’s suburbs that honours the meeting of explorers Livingstone and Stanley; the Unity monument and the Independence hero mausoleum; and Belvedere Hill, which provides a beautiful view of the city and Lake Tanganyika. After lunch, head to the airport.
