Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Arrival – Entebbe Airport

At Entebbe International Airport, you will be greeted by representatives of your lodge. Packed with other safari guests, this boutique guest house offers the best accommodation of its sort in Entebbe. Consult a local expert for further details. There are lots of activities and great places to eat if you get there early.

Day 2: Fly to Kidepo Valley National Park

Your flight to Kidepo departs around midday and often takes a little more than two hours, though it can occasionally take less. You should go to your lodge in plenty of time to enjoy a nature walk where you can spot animal traces and take in the breathtaking surroundings. One of the best lodges in Uganda, if not all of Africa, is the one you are staying at. It provides amazing, unobstructed views of the park, and guests frequently spot wildlife meandering near the lodge. On occasion, game viewing from inside a restaurant can rival that of going on a game drive.

Day 3: Game Drive in Kidepo National Park

It makes sense that Kidepo, one of the continent’s last intact wildernesses, was just named one of the top three national parks in Africa. This adventure combines breathtaking scenery with a wide variety of large wildlife, including three big cat species: lions, leopards, and cheetahs. The park is sufficiently remote that you can often have it to yourself. The best time to see the animals is early in the morning, just before dawn, when you will go on a game drive. In the afternoon, you will make your way to the valley itself, which offers stunning views and is the only place in Uganda where you may see ostriches.

Day 4: Morning Game Drive – Fly Back to Entebbe

You will return to your lodge for lunch and some downtime following your final early-morning game drive, and then you will wait for your afternoon departure to Entebbe. After being transferred, you will spend the night at your lodging. You have two options for dinner this evening: stay at the hotel or visit one of Entebbe’s numerous eateries.

Day 5: Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

You will take the morning trip to Kihihi, which, depending on the aircraft path, should take approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. Upon arrival, a representative from your resort will greet you. Your lodge is encircled by thick vegetation and located inside the park. Luxurious accommodations with breathtaking views of Bwindi make for an incredibly lovely place to stay. Here, in the afternoon, you will unwind while admiring your breathtaking surroundings. In the afternoon, you can choose to hike one of the many hills for the greatest views or take a walk into the jungle to see birds and monkeys. Alternatively, you can visit the Batwa, an indigenous tribe of forest pygmies.

Day 6: Gorilla Tracking Experience in Bwindi.

After a leisurely breakfast, you will go on what is certain to be the most unforgettable safari activity of your life: gorilla tracking. After navigating the impenetrable jungle to reach the spot where the gorillas were found the day before, you begin tracking the largest primate in the world. Once you find them, you will spend an hour with them while they feed, relax, and bond with their young. Prepare yourself for a tough walk through the humid rainforest, it could take anywhere from 30 to 4 hours to reach there. You’ll relax and take in your beautiful surroundings for the rest of the afternoon after that.

Day 7: Fly Back to Entebbe – Departure.

You’re going to travel back to Entebbe today. Depending on the time of your journey home, you might choose to fly in the morning or the afternoon. Should you choose to return to Entebbe in the afternoon, you have the opportunity to fit in an additional woodland stroll or pay a visit to the Batwa tribe, who are the native pygmies of Bwindi. You will connect with your homebound flight at Entebbe Airport.
