Over 350 bird species, 220 butterfly species, chimpanzees, and a portion of mountain gorillas can all be found in the 331 square kilometre Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Situated in western Uganda, Queen Elizabeth National Park is the second largest of the 10 national parks that make up the Pearl of Africa.
In addition to over 620 bird species, it is home to African bush elephants, buffaloes, lions, antelopes, leopards, primates, including L’Hoest monkeys and chimpanzees, and bush infants. This package also includes coverage of Kibale National Park, which is home to 350 bird species, numerous mammal species, and roughly 13 primate species, including over 1500 chimpanzees and black and white colobus monkeys. You will begin and end your six-day Uganda gorilla and wildlife tour in Kampala or Entebbe.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After your early-morning breakfast, meet our company representative and take a 4- to 5-hour drive to Kibale National Park in western Uganda. To get to Kibale National Park, take the Kampala-Mubende-Fort Portal route by car. You are going to stop for lunch along the road. Next, move on to Kibale Forest National Park, which is home to thirteen different kinds of primates.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Get up early, have breakfast, and then meet at Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for a briefing that begins at 7:00 a.m. The actual walk to view chimpanzees in Kibale National Park’s jungles will begin at 8:00 a.m. A chimpanzee trip will also introduce you to other primates, such as red-tailed monkeys, baboons, black-and white colobus monkeys, and birds. After your hour-long, enchanted encounter with the chimpanzees, you will return to the lodge for check-out and a three-hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Ride on Kazinga Channel
After waking up early to have your morning tea or coffee, you will go on a wildlife drive via the Kasenyi trail, which will take you two to three hours in a 4×4 safari vehicle. A game drive offers the opportunity to witness an array of fauna, such as African bush elephants, buffalo, leopards, lions, antelopes, and several bird species. After lunch, make your way back to the lodge to relax. You will go on your launch voyage in the afternoon, travelling through the Kazinga Channel and keeping an eye out for aquatic animals including crocodiles, hippos, and water birds.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Get up early in the morning and begin your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Ishasha sector. This will give you the opportunity to see the tree-climbing lions lounging on the limbs of trees. While travelling, stop for lunch at Savanna Resort. After that, continue on to Bwindi National Park and settle into the lodge of your choice.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking Bwindi – Batwa Community Visit.
After savouring a delectable breakfast at your personal safari lodge in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, assemble at the gorilla trekking area for a briefing on the regulations pertaining to gorilla trekking. In a party of eight, you will be paired with a gorilla family to monitor, and a park ranger guide will go with you. Depending on the gorillas’ location, their habitat, and trekking speed, a walk to see these massive primates can take anywhere from two to six hours. You will have a maximum of one hour to meet them in person, take their photo, and observe their behaviour. You will later return to the resort to unwind before visiting the Batwa community in the evening to explore their culture and take in the music and dance performances.

Day 6: Return to Kampala – Departure.
