Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival Kigali – Transfer to Gisenyi
When you arrive, a representative from our company will greet you and take you on a transfer through Rwanda’s charming villages, where you can take in the sights of the rolling hills and tea plantations. Make your way to the Lake Kivu shoreline for dinner and a nightcap.
Accommodation: Lake Kivu Serena Lodge.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibumba
After a hearty meal in the morning, you will travel to Kibumba to obtain clearance and obtain your gorilla permits. Following this, you’ll be driven to the lodge, where you’ll arrive in time for lunch and some downtime in the afternoon.

Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Experience.
After breakfast, you will make your way to the park headquarters for an orientation. After that, you will travel through the forest for two or more hours, depending on how far the gorilla families have moved, in quest of these magnificent animals. You are permitted to spend an hour with the gorillas before returning to the lodge for lunch and a laid-back evening, or you may decide to go for a stroll in the evening.

Day 4: Nyiragongo Volcano Hiking.
You will drive to the park centre after eating an early breakfast so that you can get briefed before beginning your day’s activities. It will be possible for you to meet other tourists. The tracking point is reached, and then the walk starts at roughly 10:00 am. Depending on how quickly the previous hiker went, a 6-hour hike takes around that long. By spending the night at the summit, you will get the chance to witness the active volcanic activity.
