Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After an early breakfast at 8:00 a.m, drive for half a day to Fort Portal, passing through the dense jungle and papyrus marshes of the Nile Delta, to Kibale National Park, which is located beneath the Ruwenzori Mountains. A lunch stop at Gardens restaurant in Fort Portal, followed by a leisurely drive to Kibale and an afternoon crater walk of Nyinambuga.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Habituation Experience.
Chimpanzee Habituation Experience is the focus of today. Eat breakfast early in the morning, pack a lunch, and head out into the forest before the sun rises. After meeting your guide, you head to the chimpanzees’ nesting sites from the previous evening. The chimpanzees you will spend the remainder of the day with are waking up from their slumber in their nests as dawn is just breaking.
Your day will be full, your camera will fill up with quality pictures of the chimpanzees and you will get to learn to identify them as individuals by their markings, sometimes scars and other unique features that make them stand apart from rest. Besides everything described there are the most colorful butterflies, plants and trees that will amaze you –the setting is simply awesome.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
Today’s drive will take you through Queen Elizabeth National Park, which lies southwestern of Bwindi. There, you may see a variety of species, such as buffaloes and elephants. A chance to see the tree-climbing lions in the southern part of Ishasha. Proceed to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest
Get ready for hiking at 8:00 a.m. with breakfast and training from UWA staff on how to interact with these endangered mountain gorillas. Make sure you have your rain jacket, drinks, snacks, jungle boots, and other essentials with you. If you have a group reservation, the guides will take you inside the stunning ecosystem to see the timid primates. Remember to pack your lunchboxes and all the equipment you’ll need to track the endangered mountain gorilla, which is arguably one of the most thrilling wildlife encounters on the planet. It could take two to six hours to track, but the effort is definitely worth it. Spend the night and eat dinner at your lodge.

Day 5: Bwindi-Kampala/Entebbe
In order to prepare for the lengthy drive back to Kampala, start your day with breakfast. In order to experience Uganda’s rural side, you can decide to drive back via the Kasese Fort Portal road. You would then stop at a small hotel of your choosing for lunch on the way back to Kampala or Entebbe Airport, which would arrive very late in the evening.
