Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival – Bujumbura
Our tour guide will welcome you upon your arrival at Bujumbura Airport. He will brief you on the tour and transfer you to Hotel Club du Lac Tanganyika where you will check in, have dinner and stay overnight.
Accommodation: Hotel Club du Lac Tanganyika.
Meals: (Dinner).
Day 2: Bujumbura City Tour
You will start your cultural trip in Bujumbura after breakfast. You visit Rusizi National Park, where you can go on a boat tour to see the hippopotamus, a variety of birds, and the confluence of the Rusizi River and Lake Tanganyika up close. We also ascend the Belvedere Climb, which offers a pleasant perspective of Independence Hero Monument and Bujumbura city. We will drive you to the Explorers Memorial, a large rock in the Bujumbura suburbs that commemorates the meeting spot of explorers Stanley and Livingstone, after your tour of the Snake & Culture Museum, Musee Vivant.

Day 3: Visit the Source of Nile, Karera Waterfalls & Gishora Drum Sanctuary
Following breakfast, you will follow the signs to the Karera Waterfalls and the Nile Source. Magnificent tea plantations and scenic views along the way will entice you to bring along your camera so you can take photos. Drive to Gitega, Burundi’s second town and former colonial capital, after visiting the Karera waterfalls. Gitega city tour, including a visit to the National Museum of Gitega and its collection of relics. Visit the Gishora Drum Sanctuary later to see a drummer perform.

Day 4: Visit Teza Tea Plantations – Return to Bujumbura.
After breakfast, be picked up from the hotel and driven to the “Grottes Inangurire” in Kibira National Park. The two caves, one beneath the other and about 20 metres apart, are situated close to the top of Mount Teza. Proceed with your tour of the Teza Tea Plantations. The stunning scenery will compel you to always have your camera with you in order to snap photos. Visit Bujumbura once again and drop you off at your hotel.

Day 5: Departure.
Wake up at leisure and have a nice breakfast and later check out of the hotel and be transferred to the airport to catch up with your flight back home.
