During our 4 Days Uganda Wildlife and Chimpanzee Tour, you will see the largest park in Uganda, Murchison Falls National Park, which covers 3,840 square kilometres and was designated as a wildlife reserve in 1926. It is located in Northwestern Uganda. It is divided into two parts (the northern and southern bank) by the Victoria Nile, which runs through the Savannah grasslands. You can walk with chimpanzees in Budongo Forest for four days, experiencing them in their natural habitat.

4 Days Uganda Wildlife and Chimpanzee Tour

Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park

Our driving guide will pick you up from your hotel or place of home after an early breakfast. After giving you an outline of your four-day wildlife safari to Murchison Falls, you will depart for the National Park for six hours. You will stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to monitor rhinoceroses after travelling via Luwero. Here, you can witness both black and white rhinos. Make a second lunch stop in Masindi after tracking, and then proceed to the Budongo Forest to do chimpanzee trekking.

Accommodation: Budongo Eco Lodge.

Meals: (Lunch, Dinner).

Day 2: Budongo Chimpanzee Trekking – Top of the Falls Visit

After eating breakfast in the morning, proceed to the forest headquarters to receive instructions on the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking. After that, begin your monkey walk in Budongo Forest with knowledgeable ranger guides. You will encounter other monkeys, birds, and several plant species during your walk. After you get up close to a group or community of habituated chimpanzees, you will have an hour to observe and take pictures before returning to your lodge for lunch. After lunch, your driver will take you to the top of the Falls so you can see how the water explodes downstream as it squeezes itself down a tight gorge of seven meters. After that, you may relax at the lodge and get ready for the next day.

Accommodation: Paraa Safari Lodge, Murchison River Lodge, Red Chili.

Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 3: Morning Game Drives – Boat Cruise On The Nile

After starting your day with a cup of coffee, you will be picked up by your driver guide and a game ranger for an early game drive where you can hopefully see a number of antelopes, hippos, buffaloes, giraffes, and, with any luck, big cats like lions and leopards. You will then head back to the lodge for lunch.

You will enjoy the boat ride to the falls’ base in the afternoon. You will see numerous herds of buffaloes, crocodiles, hippos, water bird species, and other exotic animals as they swarm the River Nile to drink water on your journey from the jetty point to the base of the falls. After driving back to the lodge, continue upstream to the base of the falls to see how the water squeezes into a 7-meter-tall cleft.

Accommodation: Paraa Safari Lodge, Murchison River Lodge, Red Chili.

Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 4: Return to Kampala – Departure.

After having breakfast, head out for another game drive early in the morning as you make your way back to Kampala. It will be exciting to search for a variety of animal species, though the majority can be observed feeding in the grasslands. These include lions, antelopes, buffalo, elephants, giraffes, and many bird species. After leaving the park, make a lunch stop in Masindi and go on to Kampala in the evening.

Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch).
