Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
You will be picked up by our tour guide at Kigali International Airport and driven to Volcanoes National Park, stopping for lunch along the way. Once you get to your lodge, make yourself comfortable and wait for dinner.
Accommodation: Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel, Mountain Gorilla View Lodge, Da Vinci Lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience.
You will transfer to Kinigi park headquarters for a briefing by the park warden following an early morning breakfast. You will then be assigned to a gorilla group for your walk. All visitors will depart for their respective gorilla trekking starting locations by 8:30 am local time. Before you eventually meet up with the mountain gorillas, who are always on the move, the gorilla journey takes one to six hours. Once you’ve located them, you have up to an hour to spend capturing pictures of them. Then, in order to move you to the next program that is available, return to the location where your car is stationed. You will unwind at your lodge for dinner and the night after lunch.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking Experience – Transfer to Lake Kivu.
Your day will begin early with breakfast provided at your accommodation. Afterwards, you’ll drive to the park headquarters to receive an orientation about the golden monkey trekking excursion. To find the golden monkeys, venture into the forest. You will also enjoy snapping pictures and watching the behaviour of the golden monkeys throughout your one to three hour stay in the jungle. After getting briefed again, you’ll drive back to the lodge to have lunch.
You will travel to Lake Kivu, which is located at the borders of Rwanda and Congo, after lunch. There, you can unwind and take in the stunning beach scenery.

Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Day 4: Boat Cruise on Lake Kivu – Return to Kigali – Departure.
Get up at your leisure, have breakfast, then take a boat ride on Lake Kivu. You will travel to Kigali after lunch. Proceed to the airport in preparation for your return journey home.
