Day 1: Arrival – Bujumbura.
After your arrival in Bujumbura you will be transferred to Hotel Club Du Lac Tanganyika where you will check in, have dinner and spend the night. Depending on your arrival time, you may take a brief retreat at the beach of Lake Tanganyika.

Day 2: Visit Rusizi National Park – Gishora Drum Sanctuary
You will encounter a variety of park birds when you visit Rusizi National Park today. You’ll go to the Independence Hero Mausoleum, La Pierre Livingstone & Stanley, and Snakes Park. Transferring later, you will visit the Gishora Drum Sanctuary in Gitega.

Day 3: Visit Gitega National Museum – Karera Waterfalls – Source of the Nile
Following breakfast, you will tour the Cathedral and Catholic schools in Mushasha, as well as the Gitega National Museum, which houses a collection of antiques and artefacts from Burundi’s past. After visiting the breathtaking Karera waterfalls in Rutana, the journey returns to Bujumbura, the Nile’s source in Rutovu.

Day 4: Return to Bujumbura – Departure
