3 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking Flying Safari

Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Fly from Entebbe to Kihihi Airstrip.

After picking you up from your hotel or place of residence in Entebbe or Kampala, our driver/guide will give you an overview of the three-day Flying Gorilla Trekking Uganda Safari before escorting you to Entebbe Airport for your two-hour flight with Aerolink to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. In addition to saving you time, the journey to Bwindi offers stunning aerial views of Uganda’s magnificent landscape. When you arrive at Kihihi Airstrip, our driver/guide will meet you and take you to a lodge that has been reserved for you. As you prepare for gorilla trekking the next day, spend the afternoon unwinding. You will spend the night at the lodge and have dinner there.

Accommodation: Trackers Safari Lodge, Buhoma Lodge, Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge.

Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch).

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast at your Bwindi lodge, the driver/guide will take you to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority representatives. From there, you will be divided into a group and taken into the dense Bwindi forests in pursuit of the mountain gorillas. Depending on where the mountain gorillas spent the night before, tracking them can take anywhere from two to six hours. Although the densely forested terrain is quite dense, there are many animal tracks that cut through it, giving visitors access. You might see unusual tree species, birds, and other primates throughout your walk. Once you’ve located the gorillas, you can spend an hour with them before heading back to the park’s main office. A certificate will be given to you for taking part in gorilla trekking and helping to preserve mountain gorillas.

Later in the afternoon, you will take a guided village walk to see the way of life of the people surrounding Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. It will amaze you how resourceful the local people are as you see and learn their culture. The village walk is also a great way to support the local community in a direct way, so you might want to carry with you some extra money to help the locals, which is optional and entirely up to you. You will then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Accommodation: Trackers Safari Lodge, Buhoma Lodge, Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge.

Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 3: Fly to Entebbe from Bwindi

You will start your journey back to Kampala with an early breakfast. You will be transferred to Kihihi Airstrip in time for your morning or afternoon flight back to Entebbe/Kampala by the driver/guide.
