3 Days Rwanda Primate Tracking Safari

Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park.

Pick-up in the morning in a 4×4 from Kigali, with breathtaking views en-route to Butare. For anyone interested in African history, a visit to the National Museum and the King’s Palace is a must. If you have time, visit the amazing arboretum before continuing on to the breathtaking Nyungwe Forest National Park.

Accommodation: One & Only Nyungwe House, Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel.

Meals: (Lunch, Dinner).

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking in Nyungwe.

Wake up to an early morning breakfast and head out to the park headquarters where you will be briefed by the park rangers about what to expect during the chimpanzee tracking activity. You will then be allocated a group and assigned rangers that will enter the forest with you to help you in locating the chimpanzees. When you locate the chimpanzees, you will be allowed up to 1 hour with them for observation and photography. Later exit the forest and head back to the lodge where you will have lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing at the lodge. Have dinner and stay the night.

Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 3: Return to Kigali – Departure.

After breakfast transfer back to Kigali for lunch and then drop-off at the airport (or a hotel).
