Day 1: Helicopter Flight to Volcanoes National Park.
When you arrive at Kigali International Airport, our tour guide will be waiting to welcome you and provide you with an outline of the three-day tour. Depending on when you arrive, a quick tour of Kigali’s city may include a stop at the Kigali Genocide Memorial in addition to a few other cultural and historical sites. After the city tour, you have lunch before taking a helicopter to Musanze, which is near Volcanoes National Park. You travel to a booked hotel room after arriving at the park in the evening.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Your driving guide picks you up for a journey to the Volcanoes park headquarters on day two, following breakfast at your accommodation. When you first arrive at the park headquarters, park rangers give you briefing on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking in Rwanda. After briefing, you are paired with a family of gorillas to track with seven other people and the assistance of armed park officers. You hunt for the mountain gorillas by going through the bamboo forest from the park headquarters. The duration of gorilla trekking can range from two to four hours, based on the gorillas’ previous night’s location. But you can only spend an hour (sixty minutes) with the mountain gorillas. Following an hour-long encounter with a gorilla family, you make your way back to the park headquarters, where you meet your tour guide and are driven to your lodge or hotel, where you may unwind and spend the night.

Day 3: Return to Kigali – Departure.
Depending on the time of your scheduled departure or next destination, you will leave after breakfast at your hotel on the last day of your Gorilla vacation.
