Day 1: Arrival – Kigali Airport.
You will arrive at the Kigali International Airport in Rwanda and you will be welcomed by a Gorilla Adventure Tours safari guide who will take you on a 3 hour drive to the border where you will be granted a DRC Visa on arrival. We can also arrange it in advance at your home embassy to save time this day.
In DRC, our representative will pick you up in Goma or Bukavu, and you will take a lakeside ride from Bukavu to Tchivanga, the head quarters of Kahuzi Biega National Park, and enter the park to set up your camping gear while the staff prepare your dinner and campfire.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Kahuzi Biega National Park
Early wake in Bukavu where you’ll get a full panoramic view of the volcanoes and valleys where the gorillas reside. Take an optional four hour trek through the rainforest to share what is sure to be a memorable moment with the lowland gorillas in their natural environment in the Kahuzi Biega National Park.
