Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival – Entebbe Airport.

Our company representative will greet you at the airport, give you an overview of the 15-day tour, and then drive you to the hotel that has been reserved for you, where you will check in, have supper, and spend the night.

Accommodation: Protea Hotel Entebbe, Papyrus Guest House, Airport Guest House.

Meals: (Dinner).

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.

After picking up your driver/guide at the airport, head to the Murchison Falls National Park with a picnic lunch. You will travel through beautiful communities and rural landscapes. This is a fantastic introduction to Uganda’s diverse landscapes, and it makes for a full day’s trip. After checking into your room at the Nile Safari Camp, spend the remainder of the afternoon unwinding.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise.

Today is yours to enjoy game drives around the national park, where you may look for giraffes, hippopotamuses, elephants, and more. You will take a boat ride on the river in the afternoon to get a close-up look at the falls.

Day 4: Top of the Falls Visit – Afternoon Boat Cruise.

Today you will walk to the top of Murchison Falls to get a fresh perspective of the waterfall. After lunch, view more animals on a game drive in this beautiful national park in the afternoon.

Day 5: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.

Depart south for the Kibale Forest, a full day’s drive, taking picnic lunches with you. On the right hand side you should enjoy views of the Rwenzori Mountains in the distance, known as the Mountains of the Moon.

Accommodation: Primate Lodge, Kyaninga Lodge, Ndali Lodge.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest.

The Kibale Forest, where you may spend the morning monitoring chimpanzees, is one of the best places in Africa to observe these active primates. In the afternoon, you will visit the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, which is a sanctuary for birds and butterflies.

Day 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Today, travel an additional four hours southward to reach Queen Elizabeth National Park. Take a game drive in the afternoon to explore the local area after checking into your hotel at the park-facing Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 8: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel.

You have the opportunity to embark on a wildlife drive this morning on the Kasenyi Track, one of the greatest locations to search for big cats, as well as herds of elephants, lone buffalo, and, of course, the rather frequent Ugandan kob. You will take a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel this afternoon. This is a great way to see a different view than driving a car, and it’s best in the afternoon when animals like waterbucks and elephants come to the water to drink. The shoreline is home to an equally astonishing array of birds, such as saddle-billed storks, pink-backed pelicans, and malachite kingfishers.

Day 9: Ishasha Sector in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Today, you will have a game drive through the national park to get in the southern Ishasha area, which is well-known for its lions that climb trees. Elephant, buffalo, and hippo populations are also healthy in this area, and as there is only one camp nearby, you may have the wildlife all to yourself.

Day 10: Tree Climbing Lions of Ishasha.

Driving trails go around sycamore fig trees and between lantana bushes on the breathtakingly scenic Ishasha Plains in the southern region of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Though the region is well-known for its tree-climbing lions, you can view other creatures here as well. A vast array of birds, black and white colobus monkeys, buffaloes, elephants, Ugandan kobs, and very big herds of topi may all be found in the area.

Day 11: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Today, leave the national park and travel into the undulating highlands of Uganda’s southwest. The Buhoma region of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, where you will go gorilla hunting tomorrow, will take four to five hours to get to.

Day 12: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Participate in Bwindi gorilla tracking. Before being taken to the trailhead for your hike, you will receive a briefing at the park offices nearby. Once the gorillas are identified, you can spend an hour with them watching them groom, eat, and play. The walk will take one to three hours. After making your way out of the jungle, you’ll be brought back to your lodge in time for a well-earned hot shower and filling meal.

Day 13: Bwindi Cultural Tour.

Many people reside in the village of Buhoma, which is situated on the edge of Bwindi. Along with a cup of tea and some refreshments, you will spend a few hours learning how to make baskets with the women. The ladies take up basket weaving as a hobby and frequently as a launching pad for their careers. This is a fantastic chance to meet people and learn about women’s daily lives in this community.

Day 14: Return to Entebbe.

After being driven to the nearby airstrip, you will board a light aircraft headed for Entebbe. Bid farewell to the wooded Bwindi and spend your final evening in Uganda with a leisurely dinner in the lovely grounds.

Day 15: Departure.

Wake up to a nice breakfast, and depending on your flight time you will check out of the hotel and be driven to the airport to catch up with your flight back home or to your next destination.
