DAY 1: ARRIVAL – KIGALI INTERNATIONAL ARIPORT
Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, a Gorilla Adventure Tours safari guide will pick you, brief you about the 12 Days Luxury Wildlife Tour to Rwanda and transfer you to Kigali Marriott Hotel where you will check in, have dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 2: KIGALI CITY TOUR – TRANSFER TO AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK
You will have an early morning breakfast and go on a tour of Kigali City, where you will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre and learn more history about Rwanda. You will have lunch at Hotel Mille Collines and go on a Scenic drive to Akagera National Park. You will take a private boat tour and enjoy the view of Lake Ihema and you’ll see a variety of birds and aquatic animals. You will then proceed to Magashi Camp where you will have dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 3 : WILDLIFE GAME DRIVE IN AKAGERA
Have an early morning breakfast and go for briefing behind the scenes about history of the park and development of conservancy and wildlife at the park head office. You will then go on a wildlife game drive safari through the park with a local ranger to spot wild animals and birdlife to the northern part. Return to Magashi Camp for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 4: FULL DAY GAME DRIVE IN AKAGERA
After an early morning cup of coffee, you will you go on a morning game drive in Akagera National Park with a local ranger in the northern part of the park on the plains. You will return to the lodge, have breakfast and check out. You will then go another game drive with local ranger to spot wild and birdlife back to north part (Picnic lunch included). Transfer to Karenge Bush Camp for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 5: HELICOPTER TRANSFER TO NYUNGWE NATIONAL PARK
Have a relaxed morning breakfast and take a VIP Helicopter flight to Nyungwe National Park. You will arrive at One & Only Nyungwe house, check in and have lunch. Spend the afternoon relaxing at the lodge. There are some on-site activities you can take part in such as Nature bootcamp, Spear throwing, Conservation walk, Secrets of African Tea, Hilltop Archery, Bike tour. Have dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 6: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING IN NYUNGWE
Have an early morning breakfast and transfer to the Park office for briefing and meet your local ranger. You will enter the forest for chimpanzee trekking with local ranger and porters to spot the chimpanzee in the forest. Return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, visit a tea plantation and enjoy a tea-tasting and High Tea at the lodge.
DAY 7: CANOPY WALK EXPERIENCE & HELICOPTER TRANSFER TO MUSANZE
After your early morning breakfast, you will transfer to Uwinka Park and enjoy the forest in 2 hours hike and explore the 90m long canopy bridge. Have lunch at the Lodge and take helicopter flight to Volcanoes National Park. Arrive at One & Only Gorilla Nest Lodge in time for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 8: GORILLA TREKKING EXPERIENCE
Have an early morning breakfast and transfer to Volcanoes National Park offices for briefing. You will then enter the forest to track the gorillas and one you locate them, you will be allowed up to one hour with them for observance and photography. You will later visit the Gorilla Guardian village and have lunch at One & Only Gorilla Nest Lodge. Spend the afternoon relaxing at the lodge. Have dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 9: GOLDEN MONKEY TREKKING – TRANSFER TO LAKE KIVU
You will have an early morning breakfast and transfer to Volcanoes National Park offices for briefing about Golden monkey trekking. You will then enter the forest in search the golden monkeys. After trekking, you will transfer to Lake Kivu in Gisenyi. Have lunch at Kivu Serena Hotel and spend the afternoon relaxing at the beach. You will have dinner and overnight stay at Kivu Serena Hotel.
DAY 10: LAKE KIVU BEACH – RUBAVU
Have a relaxed morning breakfast and go on a city tour around Gisenyi City. Have lunch at Paradis Malahides and in the afternoon, go on a Kayaking experience on lake Kivu. Return to Kivu Serena Hotel where you will have a camp fire at the lake side with cultural troupe entertainment. Have dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 11: TRANSFER TO KIGALI
After your morning breakfast, you will go on a scenic drive to Kigali City, with lunch at Khana Khazana. In the afternoon, you can go shopping to Kimironko Market & CAPLAKI Village. Have dinner at Ubumwe Grande Hotel. and overnight at Kigali Marriott Hotel.
DAY 12: DEPARTURE
