Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali City Tour – Transfer to Butare.
Our tour guide will greet you at Kigali International Airport, give you an overview of the safari, and then take you on a city tour of the magnificent city of Kigali, stopping at the genocide memorials and enjoying lunch at Chez Roberts before transferring you to Butare, Rwanda.

Day 2: Visit Murambi Genocide Memorial – Nyanza Palace.
You begin with a visit to the national museum and the genocide site after breakfast at the lodge. From there, you go on to Nyanza Palace, where you can learn about the rich history of Rwandan kingship and the remnants of the palace that still stand in Rwanda. You will walk about the Nyanza Palace with the royal guards while you are there.

Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park.
Eat breakfast in the morning and travel to Nyungwe Forest National Park, which is known to be home to chimpanzees. Get there before the afternoon so you can take part in the evening canopy walk, where you can observe birds and other primates from the top of the trees with the knowledgeable help of park rangers.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking in Nyungwe Forest
Get up early to eat breakfast, and then travel an hour to the beginning of Chimpanzee Tracking to receive a training on the guidelines that Chimp trekkers must adhere to in Nyungwe Forest National Park. You may see other primates, such as monkeys and birds, after you venture into the jungle to look for them. After you are located, you will spend an hour with them and then have your packed lunch. Go back to the lodge to unwind.

Day 5: Harvesting Tea with the Locals
During this village visit to the tea plantation, the plants that make this well-liked beverage for both locals and tourists are grown in the fertile volcanic soil and the temperate environment of Nyungwe forest. In order to learn about the harvesting, processing, and even tasting of tea, you will participate in the tea collecting alongside the locals. Day 6: Transfer to Gisenyi.

Day 7: Lake Kivu Boat Cruise.

Day 8: Full Day in Gisenyi.

Day 10: Return to Kigali – Departure.
Wake up early, have breakfast and check out of the lodge. You will then visit Musanze Caves before getting on the road back to Kigali City. From there, you will proceed to the airport to catch up with your homebound flight.
