Your guide will help you spot lions, elephants, Cape buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffes, hartebeest, waterbuck, oribi, bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyena, and, perhaps, leopards. Return to the hotel for breakfast and lunch. After lunch, go on an upstream boat safari on the calm Victoria Nile, stopping just tens of meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron” and reaching the base of the falls. Along the trip, take in the sight of the toothy hippos and crocodiles. Along this 17-kilometer stretch, you might also see crocodiles, waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, and elephants.

This region is home to a wide variety of bird species, such as the rare shoebill stork, hornbill, cormorant, kingfisher, Egyptian geese, Goliath heron, and pelican bee-eater. There, you get off the boat and start the arduous one-hour climb to the top of the falls. Discover the location of the world’s longest river’s abrupt eruption, which occurs through a tiny fissure in the Rift Valley escarpment and plunges into a frothy pool 43 meters below. Your driver or guide will be waiting for you when you get back to the resort.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest.

After an early breakfast, head to the Kanyanchu Tourist Centre, where the tourist activities begin, and start tracking chimpanzees in the jungle. The likelihood of seeing the chimps is 90%, but there is no assurance. One of Uganda’s most precious and lovely forests is Kibale Forest National Park. Our closest surviving cousins, the endangered Chimpanzee, the endangered Red Colobus monkey, and the uncommon L’Hoest’s monkey, all call it home. One of the most varied and highly populated regions in Africa, the forest is also home to 13 different species of primates, including the Grey-cheeked Mangabey, Blue Monkey, Black and White Colobus, Red-tailed Monkey, Bush baby, and Pottos.

Visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary after lunch to observe a range of flora and fauna while on a guided stroll through the swamp. View a variety of butterflies, insects, and birds. Investigate the region around the crater-like Ndali Lodge. You are welcome to stop at any tea estate along the way if you so choose. Return to your accommodation for dinner and spend the night there. Go to the natural bridge, the “top of the world,” and explore the crater region in the evening. On a clear day, the Rwenzori’s snow crown is visible.

Accommodation: Primate Lodge Kibale, Kyaninga Lodge, Ndali Lodge.

Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park after breakfast, spending a large portion of the trip admiring the ethereal Rwenzori Mountain range. While you wait for your lunch, check in at your lodging. Take an afternoon Launch sail over the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lakes Edward and George, following lunch. In addition to amazing bird watching on the lake bank, the boat is a great way to observe hippo, buffalo, kob, and the occasional Nile crocodile, which did not live in this region until recently. The launch cruise is regarded by many as the highlight of their safari.

Accommodation: Mweya Safari, Katara Lodge, Enganzi Lodge.

Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 6: Full Day in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

To catch up with the early risers and predators making their way back to their hiding places, get up very early, prepare a lunch, and go on a morning game drive. Hippos, elephants, lions, spotted hyenas, bush bucks, water bucks, stripped jackals, humorous warthogs, and the elusive leopard are all likely to be encountered while grazing. Continue on to the Maramagambo woodland. There are a lot of surprises in store for you here. For instance, pythons are frequently seen feeding on the bats in the cracks of the bat cave floor. Hunter’s Cave and a charming old Blue Lake are also close to the cave. Along with other monkeys, you might spot forest birds like brown-eared woodpeckers and bat hawks.

Accommodation: Mweya Safari, Katara Lodge, Enganzi Lodge.

Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Get up early, pack a lunch, and go on a morning game drive to catch up with the predators and early risers returning to their hiding spots. While grazing, you may come across spotted hyenas, hippos, elephants, lions, water bucks, bush bucks, stripped jackals, comical warthogs, and the elusive leopard. Proceed to the Maramagambo forest. You have a lot of surprises ahead of you. For example, in the crevices of the bat cave floor, pythons are often observed consuming the bats. Near the cave are Hunter’s Cave and a picturesque old Blue Lake. You may see bat hawks, brown-eared woodpeckers, and other forest birds in addition to other primates.

Driving through intriguing features, the trip takes roughly four hours. Arrive in the evening to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The endangered mountain gorillas can be found in this park. There are many other primates to view, such as blue-tailed and red-tailed monkeys, in addition to gorillas. The actual forest is verdant and beautiful, with streams flowing through it.

Accommodation: Gorilla Forest Camp, Buhoma Lodge, Mahogany Springs.

Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi.

Set out early with guides to track the gorillas after breakfast. The excitement of your experience will overshadow the challenges of the possibly taxing hike. Due to the park’s frequent rain, pack rain gear and jungle boots. Take some time to observe the gorillas in awe as they go about their daily lives. Although every gorilla safari experience is unique and offers unique benefits, you are likely to appreciate the up-close look at adults feeding, cleaning, and relaxing as the young playfully swing and frolic from vines.

The stunning green expanse of dense rainforest known as the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is so old that it withstood the previous ice age. One of the planet’s most biologically varied regions, it was recently designated a World Heritage site. Its rare and valuable vegetation supports around half of the world’s estimated 720 mountain gorillas. Additionally, there is a sizable chimpanzee population, and studies reveal that Bwindi is the only African forest where these two apes coexist.

Accommodation: Gorilla Forest Camp, Buhoma Lodge, Mahogany Springs.

Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.

Take a game drive at Lake Mburo National Park after breakfast. To discover more about the Bahima and Ankole cultures, make a stop at Igongo Cultural Village. This is where the past and the future converge. The Tanzanian Plains are extended into this park. In addition to the uncommon shoebill, crested crane, pelicans, fish eagle, heron, and numerous water birds, Lake Mburo National Park is well-known for its zebras, impalas, buffaloes, hippos, topi, and elands. It’s incredible to take an evening boat ride among the hippos.

This is one of the greatest locations for birdwatchers to see African Fin foot, Papyrus, Bush Shrike, and other species. Before continuing your journey back to Entebbe to catch your flight home, make a stop at the Equator crossing and have lunch along the way.
