Our 1 Day Gorilla Trekking Tour in Rwanda offers one of the most incredible gorilla trekking experiences in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park. This one-day walk is the only gorilla safari day trip that has been specially created for tourists in Rwanda. The excursion ends with a drop-off in Kigali town late at night. The day starts with an extremely early pickup.
Volcanoes National Park Rwanda is the only park in Rwanda where mountain gorillas may be found, and it’s also the area closest to an international airport. The quickest driving time is two hours and twenty minutes from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park. One-day gorilla treks in Rwanda are an option for tourists who are pressed for time but still want to go on a gorilla trekking safari. This schedule can be used by tourists who are already in Rwanda, especially in Kigali. Although quite demanding, the gorilla tour offers an amazing hiking experience and an hour-long encounter with the world’s endangered mountain gorillas.
Detailed Itinerary.
Your Rwanda Safari Guide will pick you up from Kigali city at 5:00 AM local time to begin your one-day gorilla trek in Rwanda. Tell your hotel to make you a packed breakfast or to serve you breakfast early in the morning. You travel through Rwanda’s stunning scenery for around two hours on the way to the park from your place of residence. After reaching the park, you go to the Kinigi headquarters, where the park warden gives you briefing on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking in Rwanda. The park ranger guide will take you to the Rwanda Gorilla trek starting location by 8:30 am.
A gorilla family will be assigned to you to hike with, along with seven other trekkers and park rangers, a total of eight individuals. With armed ranger guides, the group will travel through the bamboo forest for between two to six hours in the rainforest. But you only get to spend an hour (sixty minutes) witnessing the mountain gorillas going about their everyday life. Since Rwandan mountain gorillas are known to travel shorter distances, trekking typically takes a few hours. Following your one-hour visit with the mountain gorillas, you head back to the park headquarters where your driver-guide awaits you to take you back to Kigali. Drop off at your place of residence in Kigali City.
